Art for everyone at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery

Visit Glynn Vivian Art Gallery this month to discover the new exhibitions and activities.

This spring don’t miss the new exhibition, Thinking Green: a Land Dialogues project, by Owen Griffiths - a social practice artist working with communities. This new exhibition and consultation will re-imagine the gallery’s outdoor space as a new green civic arena, featuring works from the Gallery’s Collection, Swansea Museum and objects from the National Waterfront Museum selected by the artist.

Also on display this month is Art and Industry, Stories from South Wales. An exhibition of paintings, etchings and photography, dedicated to exploring art and industry in South Wales, through selected works from the Gallery Collection, curated by Dr. Zehra Jumabhoy.

Glynn Vivian is delighted to present the winner of the Wakelin Award 2021, Cinzia Mutigli. Purchased in partnership with the Friends of the Glynn Vivian, the annual award is given to a Welsh artist, whose work is purchased for the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection. The exhibition includes a multimedia installation exploring sugar addiction and Post-Colonial conversations.
