Working Wales encourages use of its services ahead of results day

Ahead of the upcoming exam results in August, Working Wales is encouraging parents, guardians, and carers to make use of its resources and services to help feel equipped to support young people in their care.

Working Wales, delivered by Careers Wales, provides a tailored, impartial, and inclusive coaching and guidance service. The service supports access to employment and training, to help further careers and improve wellbeing.

More than 130 expert careers advisers are on hand across Wales to help young people plan their next steps, even if their results are not what was expected.

Careers Wales has a dedicated website section for parents, guardians, and carers to access information and resources that will enable them to support the young people in their lives as they plan for their future.

Emily Jones, project manager at Careers Wales, said: “This is the first time since the pandemic that many students will be sitting exams again, so it’s understandable that they may be feeling apprehensive.

“We are here to help young people realise that there are plenty of options available to them. Our expert advisers can help over the phone, at our careers centres, or over webchat.”

This year, A Level results will be on August 18 and GCSEs will be on August 25.
