Louise & Chris' party on the pier
Seasonal blooms, home-made favours and a unique venue by the sea set the vibe for Louise and Chris' day at the seaside. The Penarth wedding was photographed by Jake Morley who perfectly captured the style of the day leaving the couple with many happy memories of a cherished day.
PLANNING
With two toddlers in the house planning the wedding was quite difficult, but we got lots of help from the florist and the venue.
THE VENUE
The ceremony was at Llanblethian church followed by the reception at Penarth Pier. Chris grandparents’ have a plaque on the pier so it's a special place for us. It’s nice to be able to take the kids there and visit our wedding venue for years to come.
DECOR & DETAILS
We are fans of Farrow & Ball paint so table names were named after various colours from our house. The invites were from a designer who did various little sketches and the colours matched the pier. The flowers were quite natural and not too formal.
LITTLE EXTRAS
My bridesmaid had a small locket made for my bouquet with a photo of my mum who sadly passed a way a few years ago, this was super special to me.
ENTERTAINMENT
We had a Fantastic band called Truly Medley Deeply and a huge box of fancy dress for the dance floor which was fun!
PHOTOGRAPHER
Jake Morley was our photographer and he was excellent. He captured lots of candid shots while remaining unobtrusive. He was great with all the different age groups and I would highly recommend him. He’s super friendly and easy to work with, makes you feel at ease which is really important and ultimately captures excellent photos. He was a pleasure to have around and we are incredibly thankful for the photo memories of our special day.
