Luminate Winter Light trail is back this year in South Wales, with 2 stunning locations to choose from. Luminate is returning to Margam Country Park and for the first time ever, the National Botanic Garden Of Wales.

Luminate is a spectacular, illuminated trail, full of wonder and intrigue, designed to delight and enthral your senses. With some amazing new lighting features, interactive light games, immersive music, mulled wine, marshmallow toasting and street food, you don't want to miss it!

As darkness descends, join them on their enchanting journey as they weave a captivating light trail through the stunning grounds and gardens. Immerse yourself in their mesmerising mile long walk, with stunning lighting installations and fabulous interactive elements for the kids (and big kids!) to play with. The trail creates a sensory journey, beautiful and atmospheric for all ages, but with lots of child-focused sections where they can play with the installations and really immerse themselves in the whole magical experience.

The entire trail has been carefully re-designed for 2022, retaining some of last year's highlights, but re-imagined to include some new and amazing magic, ensuring that 2022 is bigger and better than ever before!

The trail is approximately one mile long and will take circa 60-90 minutes to complete. Warm up by their fire pit, where you can toast marshmallows (purchase your marshmallows on site or bring your own marshmallows and skewers) and indulge in some of the hot food and snacks available to purchase on site, with a carefully chosen selection of street food traders, along with drinks and mulled wine huts along the route.

It is a delightful family and group experience to be enjoyed equally by young and old alike. A great alternative for date-night, for the romantics amongst us (they are very proud to have had no less than 5 proposals at Luminate now!), or a very different, enchanting evening out with the girls. Also a great alternative to the traditional works' Christmas night out.
